Cripps Stone Barn Wedding
Lucy and Dave’s wedding at Cripps Stone Barn is definitely one of my favourites of this year! It’s so beautiful and full of so much love, it’s impossible not to look through the photos and smile J
The morning of the wedding, Lucy was getting ready at a nearby hotel and when I arrived she greeted me with the happiest smile and a beautiful flower crown. Two things I love the most!
One of the things I really enjoy about arriving at bridal prep is to see what dress my bride has chosen – sometimes I get a cheeky description of the dress when I meet for a pre-wedding meeting, or sometimes I even get a sneak peak photo emailed to me beforehand. But when it’s a complete surprise it’s always so much fun to see what each bride has gone for. Lucy’s dress was hung up on the wardrobe and when I saw it, I fell in love with it, a stunning Temperley gown (the same one Millie Mackintosh wore if you are up to date on your famous peoples wedding dresses!) which suited her perfectly!
The bridesmaids all wore completely different dresses, but in a similar shade of pale pink – which is another look I adore, and also means bridesmaids can choose a dress they love and feel totally comfortable in.
When I arrived at Cripps Stone Barn, it was decorated beautifully. This is a venue I shoot fairly regularly at now (see Chrissie and Marks wedding blogged a few months ago), so it’s nice to arrive and to see how each couple chooses to decorate differently. Lucy and Dave went for brightly coloured hanging lanterns with hand written signs and illustrated decorations – super pretty!
Lucy and Dave were such a pleasure to photograph; we popped out on a couple of occasions so I was able to photograph their bride and groom portraits in some different locations, which I always prefer as it means we can mix it up a little bit and get lots of lovely shots.
Thank you so much for having me!! xxx
