Isle of Skye Wedding / Elopement.

Oh my.

I’ve always wanted to photograph an elopement and I’ve always wanted to photograph in the Isle of Skye – so when Lisa and Alex got in touch to tell me about their plans for their wedding I was mega excited.

The only thing is that both Lisa and Alex are wedding photographers and videographers themselves, so the pressure was certainly on.

I needn’t have worried though, as soon as I arrived everyone was super friendly (I mean, they’re from America and tell me everyone is like that back home, but to me, a typical Brit – they felt like the nicest people in the world, ever).

I can’t describe how beautiful the Isle of Skye is, my drive from the airport took me pretty much double the time it should have, as I kept stopping to look around and take photos – and for wedding photography it doesn’t get much more perfect.

Lisa wore THE MOST INCREDIBLE dress (Take a look), which she’d managed to transport over from America and keep a secret from Alex for about a year. So when they did their first look in the Isle of Skye it was so nice to see his reaction to how amazing Lisa looked.

After their first look we drove a little way out with their friends and family, then hiked for a bit up to a beautiful part of the Isle of Skye for their wedding ceremony, where they read their own vows to each other. All the heart eyes here!

Once the ceremony was over, it was photo time! We spent the rest of the day driving around and picking spots around Isle of Skye for wedding photographs.

Lisa and Alex, you were a wedding photographers dream and it was an absolute pleasure getting to know you both. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your travels (and got to see some more sheep :-p ) Thank you for having me xxx
