When Tilly and James first got in touch with me about their Caswell House wedding in Oxfordshire, I was so thrilled – they were planning a relaxed and stylish wedding with an outdoor ceremony. Throughout the booking and planning they were the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Getting ready

I turned up at Caswell House in Oxfordshire, where Tilly and her friends were getting ready in the dedicated “getting ready” room. All her girls were there and there was a lovely little buzz of excitement, with a few drinks thrown in for good measure. Tilly wore a stunning pronovias gown, with a beautiful open back and her bridesmaids wore pale grey coloured dresses, which all went together perfectly.

The wedding

The wedding took place outside at Caswell House, just out the back of the gardens. It’s such a beautiful set up, but add in all the flowers too and it couldn’t have looked any better. After their ceremony they had a live singer whilst they did the official bit then headed back down the aisle to huge round of applause!

The reception

The wedding reception took place outside in the gardens of Caswell House and it was a bright and sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests ate canapés, we wandered around the venue for some portraits, then headed back to join everyone after.

The evening

Tilly and James kick started the party with a first dance that involved an amazing lift, which got all the cheers in the background from their guests watching! The whole day was an absolute pleasure to photograph, every single guest had a smile on their face and was completely enjoying themselves – which is always the dream!
